Chapters 11 & 12 Summary

Overwhelmed with the realization that the Reapers have marked her - whatever that means - Lily refuses to show anyone the "new tattoo" on her back. Scout tries to speak with Lily multiple times, but Lily ignores her, afraid of what Scout will tell her if she admits the truth. When Amie stops by to see if Lily would like to join the brat pack for an afternoon of shopping and junk food, Lily leaps at the opportunity to act like a normal teenager again. Even though she knows the brat pack are playing nice so Lily won't press charges against them, she embraces the afternoon of sunshine on Michigan Avenue.
