Chapters 3 & 4 Summary

The next morning, Lily's alarm wakes her up to start her first day of classes. Scout is already awake in the common room, and brushes off Lily's questions of where she was the night before, simply saying that whatever she was doing, it was important. Scout takes Lily to the cafeteria for breakfast, warning that if they don't get their early, they'll be left with the slurry - all the leftover bits mixed together in a single pan. As they eat, the Brat Pack approaches them and Veronica tries to get a rise out of Scout by saying that she's interested in Scout's friend Michael Garcia. Veronica takes the entire conversation in stride, saying that if Veronica's really interested, she should give Michael a call. When Veronica walks away in a huff - disappointed that she couldn't rile Scout - Scout tells Lily...
