Jacinda

A young dragon-girl who lives with her mother and twin sister, Jacinda is a rebel and hates to follow the rules that govern her society. Jacinda is a fire-breather and is the first one to manifest with such powers in her pride in many years. As the only fire-breather of the pride, Jacinda is considered something of a commodity and is therefore treated differently than most young girls of the pride. Jacinda is being sought by a couple of the young men of the pride who are expected to hold leadership roles in later life. While Jacinda likes Cassian, she seems determined not to become bonded to him simply because everyone is pushing her to accept him. When the story opens, Jacinda is flying with her friend, Azure, during the daylight though such excursions are strictly prohibited by the pride. When they have a close encounter with hunters...
