Chapters 18 and 19 Summary

In Chapter seventeen, Tamra, Jacinda, and their mother have pizza at a place called Chubby's. Jacinda is returning a movie to the movie store nearby when she's dragged into an alley. She immediately fights but discovers it's Cassian. He say she wants to take them back and Jacinda says she isn't going. Though she wants desperately to return to the pride, she refuses to be dragged back by Cassian. Cassian says he believes Jacinda will change her mind and return with him. She says she isn't going to wake up some day and decide she'll become the property of the pride, used for breeding with the hope of creating more of her kind.
