Point of View

Fevered Star is told in the third-person limited point-of-view. However, it is told through the eyes of five different characters spread all throughout the novel’s world. Okoa, the leader of the Carrion Crow’s shield struggles with his duty to Esa or his belief in the power of the crow god. Serapio tries to find himself after surviving the massacre that was meant to end his life, but realizes that everyone around him is only interested in his divinity. Naranpa, who barely survived an assassination attempt during the Convergeance, spends most of her time in the Maw learning about her connection to the sun god. Xiala travels with Iktan and other members of Golden Eagle to gather support for a war against Carrion Crow. Finally, Balam explores the changes in Cuecola as he plans to take the city back as his family once did...
