Summary

Chapter 11 starts with a dreamwalker saying some called her a fool for pursuing magic, but now they are dead.

Balam, weary from his Dreamwalking, tells an angry Powageh that the watchers are dead. However, due to the Golden Eagle's coup, the real Sun Priest still lives and Serapio survived. They briefly lament the loss of decades of work and Balam thinks the permanent eclipse signifies that both gods are still fighting. Balam reveals the manual and says dreamwalking is terrifying but worth the power. Then, he says that Golden Eagle is coming to Cuecola for help against Carrion Crow. The Seven Lords will agree to it to avoid taxation, gather everyone in Hokaia to break the treaty, and send a message to the unseen Teek to avoid a challenge.
