Summary
Tio offers shots of liquor to help everyone calm down after the frenzy of revelations, which they all do. Tio tells a story about playing a video game on a Virtual Reality Headset when he was high. The hallucinations he experienced during the game felt profound and revelatory to Tio, although they are absurd and sexually explicit from the audience’s perspective. He concludes that the experience made him imagine what the world could be like if people “chose pleasure over harm” (168).
Rev and Tedra come storming into the garden. Rev shouts at Juicy, asking him what he told Tedra about Rev. Juicy tells Rev that he knows he organized Pap’s death because he was told about it by a ghost. Rev furiously questions the others about whether they’ve ever seen a ghost and rejects the suggestion that this counts as evidence...
