Sam Conklin

Sam is the nephew of Henry Conklin. Sam lost his parents in a car crash when he was young. Sam has survivors guilt, remembering his mother and father's bodies being pulled out of the car crash and himself being left unharmed. Sam and his uncle have a very tight bond that comes in part from Sam and his uncle Henry both loosing people close to them. Their grief brings them together but will also keep Sam from connecting from others around him on a deep level.

Sam has feelings for Maggie O'Donnel but will be afraid to show them. Sam will justify his need to keep his feelings hidden because he and Maggie work together, but eventually Sam will have to face the fact that he still hurts and is afraid to let people too close. It will take Maggie and Sam's feelings for her for him...
