Day 5 Summary

Joan pulls out the piece of paper that she had transferred the message onto from Francisco de Almagro's Dominican cross. Carlos and Ruiz hadn't realized the significance of the paper and had allowed her to keep it. Joan begins to work on the strange symbols until she gets part of the phrase translated. It mentions the Serpent of Eden, a pestilence, Satan's Blood corrupting God's good work, and that Prometheus holds their salvation. Joan remembers that Prometheus is the Greek god of fire. Carlos knocks on Joans door and takes Joan to see Ruiz. Once in Ruiz's office, Joan leans in close to Henry so that she can whisper in his ear, pretending that she is just whispering things as a lover would. Joan quickly relates what she has translated from Francisco's warning. Henry and Joan agree that Francisco discovered something about Satan's...
