Summary

In “Penny,” as Penny wanted some privacy, she drove downtown for cheap Korean fusion food. As she was finishing her meal, she saw a person she eventually identified as Sam pass out on the curb. She wondered if he had overdosed and knew she had to do something. Penny called out to Sam as she kicked his shoe.

In “Sam,” Sam listened as Penny called 911. As Penny stared at him and asked if he was positive he was not on drugs, Sam noticed Penny was cute. She told him she was supposed to keep him talking until the ambulance arrived. He told her to call them back because he could not afford an ambulance.
