Summary

Greg wakes up in the middle of the night, sweating and upset. He starts "crying again" (9). He cannot stop thinking about the beatdown from earlier (9). Suddenly, as soon as he thinks of the word "beatdown," he remembers getting punched in an alley outside Tom's Dizzy Oasis (9). He remembers the wet ground, and music coming out of the club. He asks himself who was beaten in the alley. It was not Greg. It was not 89. It was Elliott Spencer. Elliott Spencer is his real name.

Jerry enters the room, calling Elliott 89. Elliott corrects him, saying his real name. Meg and Kennedy B. enter. They are all shocked, asking Elliott questions. He tells them Elliott is who he was before he arrived at this place in a van (10). The Supervisors are dumbstruck.
