Summary
Roselyn wakes up alone and disoriented in a dark, unfamiliar field, initially thinking she might be dreaming. Struggling to understand her circumstances, she calls out for Joachim, her retainer and bodyguard, but receives no response. Roselyn is more fearful of her parents’ punishment for wandering away than concerned for her life and safety. As morning comes, she finds herself still lost in a forest with no sign of home and continues to wander aimlessly.
