Summary

Chapter Six

When they get home from the vet, Bernie works on his laptop while Chet sits in the La-Z-Boy with his leg on a pillow. Bernie says that there is a boy named Tim Fletcher in the archery club at Madison Chambliss’ high school. Bernie then picks up the phone and calls his friend in the Valley PD’s Missing Persons division, Sergeant Rick Torres. After finding out that Cynthia Chambliss had called him as he’d suggested, Bernie tells Torres that the cashier at the theater where Madison claimed to have seen ‘Dr. Zhivago’ said that she’d seen her in the ticket line, but that she’d left with a young man. Bernie says that he is going to work on finding the young man and hangs up. Bernie tells Chet that what they need to do is reconstruct the events...
