Chapters 32 through 36 Summary

In chapter thirty-two, Beatrice realizes she's now finished with initiation and has to think about the role she'll want to have in the Dauntless faction. She had hoped to work for the Dauntless leaders but knows it would be dangerous to be that near the leadership that would be too willing to kill her if they discovered she is Divergent. The results of the initiation process are announced and Beatrice is ranked first. Peter remains but Drew, another of Beatrice's attackers, is cut, now factionless. Four kisses Beatrice in front of everyone, not caring now if their relationship is in the open. All of a sudden, Beatrice realizes the Erudites are planning to use the transmitters from the serum as a means of getting the Dauntless to fight. She wants to tell Four but doesn't have the chance.
