Chapters 6 through 9 Summary

In chapter six, Beatrice and the other initiates leave the Choosing Ceremony and Beatrice takes one last look at her parents. Her father's eyes are filled with accusation and Beatrice almost cries when she sees him. Her mother is smiling. Beatrice sees Caleb standing among the Erudites and smiling. She believes the transfer was an easy decision for him. Beatrice is then rushing down the stairs with the Dauntless and running across the street. Beatrice realizes they are going to have to jump onto the approaching train and that it isn't going to stop for them. Everyone makes it onto the train except a Erudite boy who is unable to catch up.
