Summary

In Chapter 9, which takes place “Ten weeks after conception” (261), Reese and Katrina are having sushi at Katrina’s apartment. They discuss how the windows in the apartment look like the windows from Rachel and Monica’s apartment on Friends. Katrina thinks that the windows were made to look this way on purpose to give the apartment nostalgic appeal. Reese is developing what she thinks of as a “mom-crush” (266) on Katrina, though she fears that Katrina has only latched onto the idea of co-parenting because she has idealized queerness after becoming disillusioned with heterosexuality.
