Summary

In the tenth chapter, “Dasia,” Quan’s therapist, Tay, and Liberty pull Quan into an emergency meeting when his mother calls and requests visiting time with him. Quan is certain something horrible has happened, since his mother has not spoken to him the entire time he has been in jail. When he goes to meet her, she tells him that his brother misses him, but pointedly does not say she misses him. She tells him that his sister, Dasia, has been diagnosed with leukemia and she thought he should know.
