Chapter Five Summary

The bar stays busy and keeps Sookie occupied, helping keep her mind off Bill. Andy Bellefleur starts coming in frequently and would think provocative thoughts in order to catch Sookie off guard. Though she had lots of practice not reacting, things became too much for her and Sookie went to the store room in tears when she caught Andy thinking about her having sex with her brother. Sam checks on Sookie and becomes very angry when she tells him what Andy has been doing. Bellefleur apologizes to Sookie, and Sam tells him to sit in someone else's section if he comes back to the bar. Recovered from the ordeal with the detective, Sookie is pleasantly surprised when Sam asks her out, to the meeting of the Descendants of the Glorious Dead that Bill will be speaking at, and then for coffee...
