Cluviel Dor

One of the themes in Dead Ever After is the use of magical objects such as the cluviel dor. The cluviel dor causes people to be greedy to the point of committing crimes - even murder. Although there is much good in the object, it also brings out the evil nature of man.

Cluviel dor is a magical object given to Sookie by her grandmother Adele. Adele had received the object from Sookie’s grandfather Fintan after he died. The object, not well described, is rather small and trimmed in gold. It makes Sookie happy when she touches it, as if her grandfather is connected to the item.
