Summary

In Book 4 Chapter 1, Haris woke up in Daphne’s bed and thought he heard her and Amir arguing outside the room. He worried that Amir would be angry at him for sleeping with Daphne, but when he came out he saw that Amir was arguing about Saied’s price of five thousand dollars for helping Daphne and Haris to cross the border. Then Amir suggested that Daphne leave to buy milk.

After she left, Amir told Haris about when he had gone to the park last night to check on the Syrians there, they gave him angry stares, in contrast to how they appreciate and welcome Daphne.
