Summary

At the start of Book 2, Chapter 1, Haris had a flashback to when he had written a note to Samia to tell her that he was leaving her. He felt that she did not need him anymore, since she was a month away from getting married and moving to Dubai. He thought about a jacket that he had that she did not like. It was a camouflage jacket that made him look like a soldier. Jim, an American whom he had worked with, had given it to him. He thought about when he and Jim had threatened a woman and her son, who was around 14 years old, in order to get them to tell them where the boy’s grandfather was hiding.
