Section 14: ch. 33-34 Summary

In "Doors", chapter thirty-three, Pokey looks healthier. Sam tells Pokey that they got the arrow bundle and asks Pokey to act as his medicine man to send him to the Underworld. Pokey is unable to walk, so Sam reminds Coyote that he promised to help. The clinic is officially closed, with only two nurses on duty, and Adeline Eats sits in the waiting room with her six children who have the flu. When a black horse with an old man and a young man leave the clinic and get in a white Blazer, Adeline asks the nurses if they have room for her children now. Coyote instructs Pokey to open the bundle and sing the song to send Sam to the Underworld. Sam must ask the one who weighs souls to return Calliope's soul. Coyote has something to do...
