Section 7: ch. 17-19 Summary

In chapter seventeen, "A White Picket Fence Around Chaos", Yiffer and Nina return drunk and begin fighting. Sam and Calliope go to her room, and Calliope wants to have sex again. When Grubb wakes crying, Sam excuses himself to the bathroom where he complains to himself that he cannot do this. Coyote appears to help because Sam is wasting this woman. Sam cannot have sex with Calliope because of the chaos in her apartment. Coyote advises him to lose himself in Calliope's body and gives him a medicine pouch to put on his member. Calliope enters the bathroom to retrieve Sam as he sprinkles the powder on his member. When Lonnie begins slamming doors below again, Yiffer goes to yell at Lonnie, and Calliope says that Lonnie is scared of Yiffer. As Calliope and Sam make love, Sam loses...
