Summary

In Chapter 61, Amari and the elders decide that they will go to Ibadan alone and send the rest of the rebels to Lagos to make sure Inan does not uncover their plan. The Winder, Jahi, says that they could use the villagers of Ibadan to their advantage, but the other elders shut down that idea. That night, they throw a feast and Mama Agba gives an inspiring speech, but Zelie stays in her room.

In Chapter 62, Amari and Tzain leave the party together and go to her room. She tells him she loves him, and he says he loves her too.

In Chapter 63, Zelie goes down to the feast, but all she can think about is Mazeli. Mama Agba tries to talk to her, but Zelie yells at her and makes her cry. She returns to her room and sees Roen waiting for...
