Summary

They all wait for the ambulance to come as Bobby heats up, but a hearse arrives instead because they do not have enough ambulances. Mama goes in the back of the car with Bobby while Junior stays with the girls. Junior tries to cheer everyone up by playing pretend, but Ann fay gets upset. She tells him that he does not have to worry about them, but she knows this is not true. Junior comes the next day with food from his mother. He tells them that the police are keeping people away from the hospital. Ann Fay knows that as the man of the house, she has to keep up the work.

An epidemiologist arrives and tells the children that Bobby is in an iron lung. Their mother sends a letter saying that she is volunteering at the hospital...
