Summary

In Chapter 16, Liz is on the couch, still wearing her prom dress but covered in a blanket while watching You've Got Mail. Helena is startled that Liz is home. Helena asks if everything is alright. When Liz says she is fine, Helena excuses herself. Liz is embarrassed by her earlier actions, but she realizes she missed having Helena be part of the day's activities. She invites Helena to watch the movie with her. Liz is surprised when Helena says she loves this movie. Helena clarifies that “I hate cheesy, unrealistic romantic movies. But bouquets of newly sharpened pencils? . . . Be still my heart” (324). Helena asks about prom.
