Chapters 81-90 Summary

In the church, Ahab is professing his love for Una, and in chapter eighty-two, Una walks up to him and they talk. They leave the church and talk to the Pequod. Ahab in his powers as captain nullifies Una's marriage to Kit and declares her to be his wife. They leave the ship and walk to Ahab's house. The big house has no furniture except for the bedroom, and he tells her to furnish it as she wants. They spend the night there.

In chapter eighty-three, Ahab and Una watch the dawn from the cupola room. He has left money with the judge for Una's use. They both hope that she will be with child and she says she may visit her family in his absence.
