Thorgrin

Thorgrin is the hero of the novel. He is Gwen’s boyfriend and the father of the child that she is carrying. Thor is accompanied by a white leopard named Krohn. Krohn appears to be Thor’s best friend as he mirrors Thor’s emotions as well as his concern for Gwen.

Thor and his friends have gone on a quest into Empire territory to retrieve the Destiny Sword and repair the Ring, which will cause Andronicus’ army to be defeated. Thor is the leader of a group that has gone to retrieve the Destiny Sword. Most who have heard of the mission believe that it is a suicide quest.
