Argeneau House

The main setting in Lynsay Sands' "A Quick Bite" is the Argeneau house. It is located on the outskirts of Toronto, Canada. The large house has been in the Argeneau family for many years and is the gathering place for friends and family on special occasions, such as Lissianna's birthday. To celebrate, Marguerite's sister, Martine, and her children Elspeth, Victoria and Juliana have come from England. Local family visits as does Lissi's Uncle Lucian, head of the vampire council.

The house is run by Marguerite Argeneau, a matriarch. The only vamps in the story older and stronger than Marguerite are her sister-in-law, Martine and brother-in-law, Lucian.

The house is very elegant and ornate. It features a formal parlor, many guest rooms, a library, kitchens, games room, and a ballroom that is no longer in use for formal balls but now houses the family's portraits dating from...
