Chapters 19-22, Epilogue Summary

In Chapter 19, Greg is plagued by nightmares. Lissi sits with him and he wakes up. Lissi tells Greg to go back to sleep that the turning is over. When Greg wakes again, Lissi is asleep beside him.

Greg and Lissi make love. Thomas interrupts and an embarrassing scene follows. Thomas says he will tell everyone to leave Greg alone that he is recuperating.

Greg tells Lissi about his dreams. They discuss the turning. Greg takes Lissi into the kitchen and feeds her blood as well as sherry trifle. Greg says he feels great.

In Chapter 20, Lissi returns to work. Debbie asks what happened. Lucian had cleaned the apartment as promised but Debbie was curious if Marguerite had accepted Greg and made up with Lissi.

The cousins and Mirabeau hover over Lissi's bed. Thomas teases them about being noisy.
