Summary

Chapter 26 opens as Siti takes Fatma into Cairo while Hadia promises to meet them there. Siti reveals her past to Hadia and promises to protect Fatma. While leaving Hadia to deal with the catatonic Alexander, Siti and Fatma only stop long enough to send a message to evacuate the palace and help the police at the Worthington estate. Siti hears Abigail’s voice calling all of the djinn to Abdeen Palace to set the Nine Lords free since she cannot control all of the djinn at once. As they get closer to the center, buildings are destroyed and hundreds of djinn head to the palace where al-Jahiz opened the barrier between worlds.
