Summary

In Chapter 12, Patrick has another meeting with Robert. Patrick reveals that he stole Robert’s thumb drive with the help of the homeless man as a distraction. Patrick now knows that Robert has been writing down Patrick’s story. Patrick is angry with Robert for what he has done, and he is also angry at some of the choices Robert made in writing the story, such as over-sexualizing Alyona. Patrick says that Alyona is now dead after falling off a high balcony. Patrick does not say whether he thinks it was murder or an accident. Robert admits that he does not believe any of Patrick’s story. Patrick begins speaking about the state of Vanyashin’s life shortly before his death.
