Summary
In Chapter 7, “The Ghost of Christmas Past,” on Christmas Eve morning, Bowen rose early to run an errand. Still frustrated for misplacing the earrings, he had not slept well. Despite the bad weather, Bowen headed to the “local bus garage” where he asked about the Lost and Found (132). The woman he spoke told him where the Lost and Found was located, but assured him his item would not turn up for several days. Bowen felt deflated.
Bowen and Bob headed out for another day of work. The streets mostly cleared out by early afternoon. Bowen went to a few more shops looking for another present for Belle, but found nothing.
