Objective

In chapter 1, Candy LaChaise steals keys to a van for the purpose of carrying out a bank robbery. Discuss Candy's actions, the plan, and the outcome.

Lesson

1. Candy LaChaise and two accomplices plan to rob the Midland Steel Federal Credit Union. Discuss the plan and how it comes about. Why is it necessary to steal a vehicle? Whose idea is it to rob the bank? How will it be carried out? What part does each person play? Is the plan dangerous? Explain.

2. Act out the scene in which Candy and Georgie attempt to flee from the police. You may also use the scene in which the robbery takes place. Who will you choose to play each character? Will you use disguises?

3. Security systems are vital in the banking business. Credit unions tend to be slightly different and perhaps less secure. Research and write a 500 word essay...
