Students need to understand other cultures. Many of them may not know much about the Vietnam War or the country of Vietnam. Spend time in the library researching the Vietnamese culture. What are the people like? What are the major cities? Historical events? Historical figures? What is the food like? What is everyday life like in Vietnam? How did the war affect the country? The people?

War Correspondent for a Day

Assign students the role of posing as a war correspondent for the day. Their mission should be to locate a specific teacher, student, or other staff member and asking them questions about a particular event.
