1. Class Discussion - How do you know that this chapter is a flash-forward? Cite specific examples from the book that cued you on what was happening. How did the flash-forward help set the scene for the book from the first sentence?

2. Group Activity - Discuss the benefits of the writer using a flash-forward at the beginning of the book. Be sure to discuss how the author capture's the readers interest and curiosity by bringing the reader right into a drama at its height. Discuss the drawbacks of the writer using a flash-forward at the beginning of the book. Discuss if you felt lost or confused by being brought into the middle of a situation with no introduction.
