Alisa Perne/Sita/Lara Adams

Alisa Perne is the main character and narrator of the novel. She is a vampire that is five thousand years old. In her current body, she is a pretty blonde girl. She looks like she is about 19 or 20 years old. Alisa has a lot of money, secret bank accounts and business managers spread out across the world to maintain her accounts and different identities, in case someone gets too close to finding out she is a vampire.

When Alisa was first transformed into a vampire, her name was Sita. Periodically, throughout the novel, Alisa reveals her true identity as Sita to some of the other characters. Primarily, she reveals her real name to the few men she falls in love with over the years, including Arturo, Ray and Joel. As Sita, she made a vow to her God, Krishna, not to create anymore vampires...
