Chapter 7 Summary

While Alisa is burying Slim's body under the stream, she can hear the police arriving at the gas station and having a shootout with the limo boys. The boys win and drive off. She finds a payphone, calls information and calls Seymour. When he answers, Lara tells him she needs him to come and get her and bring a change of clothes. She tells him not to tell his parents and asks why he's awake. He says he just woke up from a dream he was having about her.

Seymour arrives an hour later, astonished when he sees Lara covered in blood. She says someone attacked her and that's all she'll say. She strips down naked, gets a towel from Seymour to wipe the blood off, and then changes into the clothes he brought. She buries her bloody clothes but keeps her keys...
