Chapter 43-46 Summary

Chapter 43 opens three weeks after Vicary has ordered the tail on Anna, and so far they have been unable to see her make the drop. Dalton and Vicary begin looking at the photographs taken and see the same man in three of the photos.

In Chapter 44, Neumann is back at the Dougherty place, and he and Sean have stopped into the local pub after a hard bicycle ride. Neumann tells Sean they may soon need to activate the escape plan for the German spy in London. Jenny's father is in the pub, drinking, and Colville tells Neumann to stay away from his daughter. A fight ensues, and Neumann suffers some injuries but wins. Jenny comes to him that night and crawls into bed with him to sleep.
