Summary

In Chapter 27, Anna’s mental health is clearly declining. She cannot figure which door in her room leads to the bathroom, but she handles it with grace and humor. Anna and Luke are still dancing together at night and spending time with each other during the day. They decide that at the upcoming visitor’s day they will tell their families about their relationship. Sarah, Luke’s sister, is happy for them that they have found each other. Jack, on the other hand, is furious. He is afraid that Anna is being taken advantage of and cannot conceive of how they could possibly have a mutually consensual relationship in their state. Luke stands up for them, but Anna and Jack get distracted when their dad, Peter, comes to visit. Their dad left their mom when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s many years...
