Summary

In Chapter 11, as Eve finishes up a long day at work, she checks in on Luke, only to realize that he has left his room. Eve and one of the nurses go into a panic trying to find him. Eventually, she finds him in Anna’s bed.

Chapter 12 is told from Anna’s perspective, taking place 13 months previously. In following the vein of the last chapter, this chapter tells some of Luke and Anna’s budding romance. Although, she does admit that she still wants to commit suicide, she still enjoys the company of Luke. On animal therapy day, Luke chooses to stay inside with Anna instead of going outside and seeing the dogs, as he normally likes to do. Later in the chapter, Luke finds her again wandering at night. He takes her to the upstairs parlor where they dance with each...
