Summary

Book Three is titled “The Stand”. It is set from September 7, 1990, through January 10, 1991.

In Chapter 61, Flagg knew the Judge was coming as a spy and had posted guards to look for him. He was to be killed, but not hit in the head. Flagg intended to send both the Judge’s head and the head of the second spy sent back to the Boulder Free Zone as a warning.

Bobby Terry was reading comic books when he spotted the Judge’s vehicle pass. He told Dave Roberts, his partner, and the two went after him. When Bobby and Dave caught up with the Judge, Dave ordered Bobby to stay in the car because he was afraid Bobby would mess things up. Dave shot the Judge with a gun in the pocket of his raincoat. Meanwhile, a crow flew down from a telephone...
