Summary

Chapter 25

Thomas watches the rain for two hours. He finally falls to sleep listening to the rain. As dawn falls, Thomas awakens, and is hungry once more. Newt is the only other Glader awake. He is bitter, wondering if being alive even matter, then thinks better of it. Minho wakes up, in pain, but it is clear his injuries will heal in time. Only eleven Gladers are still alive. They wonder how they will fight their way through a city with only eleven of them. Above them, an Hispanic man jumps through a hole in the ceiling, lands, says his name is Jorge, and announces that he is the Crank who runs the building.

Jorge wants to Gladers to follow him. He says they have a lot to learn about WICKED, how things work in the city, and how there are different...
