Summary

Caroline knows that deep down, the real reason she went to the dance was in the hopes that she would see Josh. Josh sees her and puts a pink drink in her hand. She thinks about the look on Tom’s face earlier, and thought she’d seen Sara leave with him earlier, but then she came back and it seemed as though everything was fine. She is about to join Grace and Sara when Josh gestures towards a table, bringing two bottles of beer with him. He thanks her for coming, touching her hand and sending a flutter to her chest. She sips at her beer, watching the people still on the dance floor until he offers to give her a ride home. They don’t speak on the way home but...
