Summary

Jen arrives early the next morning, catching Sara with a hangover, and makes several suggestions as to how Sara could amuse herself in Broken Wheel, all involving Tom in one way or another. She finally climbs out of her stupor enough to realize that Jen is trying to set her up despite how incompatible she feels they are. She is horrified by the idea that someone may have corralled him with the same suggestions and wonders if that has anything to do with his frosty demeanor.

George continues to show up each morning to see if Sara wants a ride anywhere, and when he arrives she is reading on the porch. They talk about reading and about books in general – particularly how they offer escapism of sorts and she offers to loan him...
