Chapters 29, 30, 31, 32 Summary

In chapter twenty-nine, Max gets a call from Nathan Cooley. They agree to meet for lunch the next day at Spanky's in Radford. Max is worried that Nathan will recognize him as Malcolm Bannister. The reason he changed his appearance is to conceal his real identity from just one person, Nathan Cooley.

The next day Max meets with Nathan. He has changed little since Max last saw him four years ago. Nathan does not recognize him or is not suspicious in any way of his identity. Max explains to him what a documentary is and how his company's films specialize in the abuse of power by the federal government.

Max tells Nathan a little bit about Skelter Films. He explains why he wants to put him in his documentary about the DEA. The film will feature three or four stories similar to that...
