Chapter 3-4 Summary

Al Capone takes to the streets of San Angeles, having learned that his new magical abilities allow him to shape matter, including his clothing, into whatever form he wants. He gets into an altercation with a couple, who are helping him call a taxi, and the fighting quickly turns into a street brawl, with Capone killing several people. Al hears people refer to him derogatorily as "Retro." This is the word New Californians have adopted for the possessed, who they believe to be a new street gang that likes to dress in old fashioned clothing. Capone flees the scene and is picked up by another possessed man in an antique convertible. He tells Al that the possessed are grouping together to take over the world so that they can hide the planet from the sky. Al decides to go with him to meet the other possessed.
