Summary

Chapter Thirty-One

Just after Thomas heard the Doors closing, Alby showed up to release him. Alby looked and sounded like his old self. Thomas said he was glad to see that Alby had healed so quickly. Alby remembered the talk they had the day before. It was starting to fade a bit; but, he would never completely forget it. When he tried to talk about it, he choked up. There was something that didn’t like him remembering it. Thomas asked Alby what he saw Thomas doing in his memories. Alby responded that Thomas was with the Creators. He was helping them. Thomas was stunned. Alby hoped that the Changing planted false memories and not real ones. There was something else that Alby saw Thomas doing; but he was afraid to repeat it. He didn’t want to start choking himself.
