Summary

Chapter Eleven

Ben seemed to have recovered only slightly. Although weak, Ben looked poised to strike again. He was holding a knife. Suddenly, Alby was calling Ben. When Alby caught up with them, he warned Ben to stop or else he wouldn’t see the next day. Ben made animal-like expressions, his tongue darting between his lips. Alby reminded Ben that he was still undergoing the Changing and that he shouldn’t have left his bed. Ben claimed that Thomas wasn’t one of them and should be killed.

Alby appeared with a bow and arrow and ordered Ben back to the Homestead. Ben proclaimed that Thomas wanted to take them home, take them away from the Maze. Alby didn’t seem to know what Ben was talking about. Ben kept insisting that Thomas was bad. Ben wouldn’t budge as he kept...
