Summary

Chapter 7

Hazel and Leo briefly discuss the forms they saw Nemesis take during their conversation. Hazel tells a little about her brother, Nico, who saved her from the Underworld and made sure she was accepted at Camp Jupiter. Leo laments about being a seventh wheel to the group, but Hazel tries to cheer him up. The two are interrupted when they stumble upon a cursed girl, Echo, who can only repeat whatever was last said. Echo leads them to a group of several dozen nymphs at a pond. The nymphs all seem to be focusing on an incredibly handsome man, Narcissus.

Leo spots a sheet of bronze that Narcissus is using as a mirror. He tries to barter with him to get it, but Narcissus refuses, too captivated by his own image to really care. Leo, Hazel, and Echo retreat to discuss a...
